Death Valley National Park is as dangerous as it is beautiful. Document your journey through this stunning desert landscape in a scrapbook, highlighting its most iconic landmarks and animals—but beware of the extreme heat and other lurking dangers!
Death Valley is a 2-player game by Kevin Ellenburg where players take on the roles of adventurers documenting a perilous journey through this wondrous landscape. Featuring push-your-luck and board-building mechanics, each turn you must allocate a card to your journey or scrapbook, considering the card's effects and trying to avoid dying in the process.
Players will complete their Journey and Scrapbook over the course of their turns. On each turn, the active player chooses one of the following actions:
Travel: Choose one of the two Desert cards (face up or face down) and add it face up to your Travel row.
Rest: Move one card from your Travel row to your Scrapbook row, either hiding cards from your Travel row under that card or choosing to return any number of cards from your Travel row to the deck and shuffle.
Some cards have abilities that modify actions and add additional effects.
Players will take turns performing actions until the "desert deck" is depleted. Each player scores the stars in their Travel area and the victory condition cards from their Scrapbook.
The game includes the Panamint City expansion and a single-player mode.
This expansion adds 6 new hazard cards that add more complexity to the game
In single-player mode , you face a tireless exploration robot that never stops in its quest for adventure.
