This pack contains three expansions for the board game Camera Roll!. These expansions can be played as standalone modules, replacing certain components of the main game for a unique, highly thematic experience, or simply mixed in with the rest of the game. All require the base game.
This pack gives a little thematic and cinematic boost to your cinematic madness, with totally new components and a little twist on the rules.
The Superheroes expansion contains 22 new cards (15 Superhero Scenes, 1 Production Company, 1 Team card, 2 Upper Scripts and 2 Lower Scripts, 1 Rules card) and 5 CGI tokens, all with original illustrations.
The new feature: filming a superhero movie requires a lot of CGI, so there's a new rule: every time you film, you must add a CGI token to the scene card and perform a separate action to remove them. The game doesn't end until all the CGI has been rendered, so you might need the new VFX Supercomputer Equipment card to get the job done right.
The Murder Mysteries expansion contains 32 new cards (10 Mystery Scenes, 3 Idea Cards, 3 Problem Cards, 1 Equipment Card, 15 Suspect Cards, all with new original illustrations), as well as a new action token for the main board and 2 "Backdrop" cards for the new Suspect mechanism.
The twist: the screenwriter of your mystery film has been... MURDERED! And what's worse, they kept the ending of the script a secret until filming began, so you don't know who the fictional culprit is. And every character is a suspect...
Use the new Backdrop tokens to eliminate suspicious characters from your film based on where you place the Camera dice on the Set during filming. It also includes new Problem, Idea, and Crew cards that affect the new mechanics while remaining compatible with the base game.
The Christmas expansion includes 33 new cards (12 Gift cards, 10 Christmas-themed Scene cards, 3 Idea cards, 1 Equipment card, 4 Script halves and 3 new "Christmas Ghost" cards, a new twist on Problems with a Dickensian touch), as well as 8 Christmas prop tokens and an Animation Clue for the new Crew Animation mechanism.
News: It's Christmas again! You have big plans to capitalize on the genre everyone loves (or loves to hate): Christmas movies. Unfortunately, you've decided to shoot your Christmas movie during the holidays, which poses a serious risk to your crew's morale during this grumpy time of year. Luckily, the spirit of the season is all about giving and receiving material goods, and you have some special ones wrapped up and ready just in case things take a turn for the worse.
Keep an eye on your crew's Morale, which drops if you're burdened with Trouble cards, leading to unfortunate penalties when it's at rock bottom. But you can boost cheer by giving and receiving new gift cards when it's not your turn, which also offer useful bonuses to the active player. Seasonality is the reason for cheer!
