Motor City is a strategic Roll & Write game about managing an automobile factory in Detroit's heyday.

In Motor City, you have two player sheets, each with multiple areas. These areas are represented by tracks that you'll mark off as you progress. Many of the tracks are interconnected with other elements of the game, providing bonuses along the way and opportunities to unlock more points. Advancing through all these tracks offers varying amounts of points, progress, and bonuses.

The game lasts eight rounds. In each round, colored dice are rolled according to the number of players and placed in the spaces on the blueprint table according to their value and color. Each player rolls one die and uses it. Once everyone has rolled a die twice, all players can use the remaining die on the blueprint table.

After eight rounds, points are awarded for progress in engineering, assembly, testing, etc. Whoever has the most points wins.

Motor City features a solo mode where you try to beat your own score against an auditor who draws dice and blocks off areas of your score sheet. Its difficulty can be easily adjusted by changing the dice colors during setup; no additional rules are required.
